Avoid using any abrasive or acidic cleaners containing solvents or grease! While using a new cleaning product, please check the fact label to verify it is suitable for the material you intend to clean. Home improvement stores can recommend the appropriate type of cleaner to use. In addition to using cleaners that are safe on the vanities’ surface, it’s also important that only use sponges or soft cloths when cleaning. Heavy-duty scouring pads or other abrasive cleaning tools could damage or dull the surface of the vanity / cabinet. Ultimately, Always keep dry!

Care Maintenance for Marble Top

  • Countertop Surface: Matte finishes – well-known for their flat, non-reflective appearances and sandy, nature textures – have become an increasingly trendy element of the bathroom vanity landscape. Most of our vanity collections are assembled with matte finish countertop due to the rapid demand. In some cases, consumers may prefer satin / glossy finish instead of matte finish as ongoing project is arranged. Matte finish countertop can relatively simple to be modified into a glossy finish by applying glossy clearcoat and sealer (please contact your licensed contractor for consultation). Please note high-gloss look will require a more stringent maintenance as it will show scuff marks easily. In another hand, matte finish on vanity countertop hides more imperfections than a glossy one and also doesn’t show dirt as easily.
  • Material Description: Every natural stone product will include natural imperfection. The imperfection is not defect in the material. Color and appearance are vary from one batch to another or from one top to another. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the color or character of countertop delivered and/or fitting will be an exact match to any samples in displayed pictures.
  • Top Care and Cleaning: All the natural stones are porous and must be sealed regularly. With its natural characteristic, marble stones are more porous than others. For our vanities, all countertops are sealed where appropriate prior to installation to prevent further corrosion and resist staining. Due to the uncertain factors of production cycle and delivery schedule for each batch from oversea, initial sealer coating may be oxidized, and performance of sealer may be reduced for overtime.

  • In order to ensure longevity for marble top, Water Creation suggests you to apply sealer at least 24 hours before first use. Home improvement stores can recommend the appropriate type of stone sealer to use. Based on the intensity of use and the type of marble, we recommend that sealer is re-applied regularly as appropriate or the marble is re-treated at least twice a year. However, this does not mean they are guaranteed to be stainproof. Care should be taken to ensure that materials likely to cause staining (such as acidic fruit like lemon, lime, vinegar-based sauces, abrasive cleaning products, bleach, nail polish remover, etc) are kept away from direct contact with marble countertop.
